Meaghan's Services

I am a Psychologist (Candidate Register) licensed to provide in-person and/or virtual services in Nova Scotia. I hold a Bachelor of Arts (BA Hons.) degree from the University of Waterloo, where I studied both Psychology and Sexuality, Marriage and Family Studies. I completed my Master of Science (MSc) degree in Clinical Psychology at Acadia University. I have experience working with adults in both Community Mental Health & Addictions and private practice settings.I strive to take an anti-oppressive and strengths-based approach to psychotherapy, informed by understandings of systemic barriers to wellness and de-pathologizing frameworks. It is my goal to provide a non-judgmental space where clients feel safe, valued, and understood.I have training and experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT). I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, and I work collaboratively with my clients to tailor my therapeutic style to their unique needs and goals.I have special interests in ADHD assessment and treatment, and supporting individuals who are struggling with difficult, “big” emotions. I particularly enjoy facilitating a supportive and affirming therapeutic environment for neurodivergent and 2SLGBTQ+ clients.

Meaghan will begin taking on clients on the South Shore in May.
